UNI Football On TV, Radio, Internet
The University of Northern Iowa football team will kick off the 2007 season Aug. 30 in the UNI-Dome against Minnesota State, however that does not mean gridiron fans will have to wait that long for their pigskin fix. Head coach Mark Farley's weekly radio show will begin Thurs., Aug. 23, live at 6 p.m. from Pepper's in Cedar Falls on the UNI Sports Network. Gary Rima, the play-by-play voice of the Panthers, will serve as the host of the radio show. The radio show can also be heard on www.UNIPanthers.com as a part of Panthers All-Access.
Panther fans can also watch the state's only one-hour football coaches show - Panther Plus with Mark Farley on Sundays at 10 a.m. on Fox 28. The show will feature in-depth highlights, player profiles and a look to the next week's game. The show will also be hosted by Gary Rima and will also be shown throughout the week on the Mediacom Connections channel as well as CFU cable. Panther Plus with Mark Farley will run weekly throughout the season with the only exception coming during the Panthers' bye week on Oct. 7. As of Aug. 22, two UNI football games will be shown live in the state of Iowa. UNI's game against Western Illinois on Oct. 20 will be shown live on FSN Midwest at 6:30 p.m. The Panthers' Oct. 27 contest against Youngstown State will be shown live on KFXA-TV and KDSM-TV beginning at 3 p.m.
For the first time Panther fans will be able to view all of UNI's home football games on www.UNIPanthers.com through Panthers All-Access. For a nominal fee, fans can get live streamed audio and video of most home games of UNI volleyball, football, men's and women's basketball and wrestling, as well as some road contests.
