Final Results
COLUMBUS, Ohio - University of Northern Iowa senior Jordan Weber closed out the NCAA Central Regional Saturday with a third-round low 74 to finish tied for 75th place on Ohio State's Scarlet Course.
Weber propelled up the leader board in the final round of the tournament with a score of 74 on the last 18 holes to finish with an overall score of 230. He was 16 strokes behind first-place winner Kevin Tway from Oklahoma State. Tway shot his highest score of the week during the third round with a 75, but held on to earn medalist honors by a stroke. Tway finished at one-over par for the tournament, with a 214.
Brendan Gielow of Wake Forest and Robert Rohanna of Penn State tied for second at 215.
In the team race, Wake Forest finished with a final round of 302 Saturday for a total of 879 to win by 10 shots over Oklahoma State. Wake Forest led the event at the end of all three rounds. The Cowboys had the low round of the day, shooting a 297 (+13). Illinois finished two strokes back in third.
The top 10 teams and two individuals not advancing on teams will move on from each regional to the championship finals. This year's national championship will be held May 28-31 on the Kampen Course at the Birck Boilermaker Complex in West Lafayette, Ind., with Purdue University as the host institution.
