Final Results Get Acrobat Reader

Lemont, Ill. -

The University of Northern Iowa men’s golf team shot a final round 302 to finish in 7th place at the John Dallio Memorial.  The tournament, hosted by DePaul University, was played at Ruffled Feathers Golf Course, a 6,858 yard, par-72 course.

 

After standing in a tie for fifth entering the last 18 holes, the Panthers shot a final round 302 to end in seventh place with an 888 total.  Southern Illinois won the team title, claiming victory on a tiebreaker after tying with Nova Southeastern and the end of 54 holes, as each team had 873.

 

Junior Tyler Johnson was UNI’s top individual, tying for 13th place with a 218 total.  Brian Dorfman of Georgetown was the medalist with a 209.

 

The seventh-place finish was UNI’s top placing in three tournaments so far this fall.  UNI has one more fall competition remaining, as it will play in the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate in Normal, Ill., Oct. 12-13.
