Indoor - Was a member of the distance medley relay that earned all-conference with their second-place finish, completing the race in 10:00.03... Finished ninth in the mile at the MVC meet, clocking in at 4:22.71... Ran the mile in 4:28.69 at the ISU Classic, finishing 51st against tough competition.

High School: A three-time state track champion in the 1600 and 3200 ...In 2003, was the state track champion in the 800, 1600, and 3200 ...A two-time state cross country champion ...His senior year, was the 1600 champion at the Drake Relays ...Was an active member in DARE and a SKILLS role model.
