Knoxville, Tenn. - The University of Northern Iowa men's and women's track and field teams had several outstanding performances on Saturday, wrapping up the 39th annual Sea Ray Relays, hosted by the University of Tennessee.

UNI's 4x400 relay team of Terrence Reid, Cody Eichmeier, Ryan Kedley and Dirk Homewood won the event by more than 2 seconds over its nearest competitor, clocking in at a season-best 3:06.10. The Panthers also finished fifth in the 4x800 relay, as the foursome of Adam Hinders, Nick Mass, Dylan Davis and Kyle Smith posted a time of 7:34.50.

In the invitational pole vault, UNI's Andre Poljanec finished third with a jump of 17-4 1/2. Derrick Benner finished 13th in the hammer throw with a 166-11 toss.

On the women's side, Morgan Edwards placed sixth in the shot put with a 47-00 throw, while Sarah Behrens placed 11th in the event by tossing 43-10 ½).

UNI will host the UNI Twilight, its second outdoor meet of the season, next weekend (Apr. 23-24).
