Cedar Falls - The UNI men's and women's track and and field teams traveled to Madison, Wis. this weekend to compete in the Wisconsin Twilight. The Panthers competed in preparation for the Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Championships set for next weekend.

On the men's side, Jamie Goodwin placed third in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.68, and Dirk Homewood claimed second place in the 200 meter dash, clocking in at 20.78.

In the 800 meter run, Kyle Smith placed second at 1:50.75, and Jonathan Drury finished fifth in the 400 meter hurdles, clocking in at 53.37. The Panther 4x100 meter relay team of Goodwin, Cody Eichmeier, Homewood and Patrick Hunter placed second behind the host school, Wisconsin with a time of 40.41.

In the pole vault, Jarno Kivioja took the event, placing first with a jump of 5.00m.

Next up, UNI hosts the MVC Championships at the Mark Messersmith Outdoor Track Complex in Cedar Falls. Events begin Friday (May 13th).
