Former Panther Kyle Hansen joined the UNI staff after a stellar collegiate career for Head Coch Brad Penrih. This past season, Hansen became the Panther Club Wrestling coach while entering his third season as the conditioning specialist. "He has become our utility man," said head coach Brad Penrith. "He'll do anything to help this program out. He's not afraid to get up early and train with one of the guys at 5:00 A.M." He finished his collegiate career as a two-time all-American and a two-time NWCA Academic all-American. In his senior campaign he was ranked throughout the year, peaking at seventh in the nation. He finished his career with 79 wins and 39 dual meet victories. The Wilton, Iowa graduate will continue to train with the UNI wrestling program while he focuses on his wrestling career at the next level. Hansen graduated in 2002 with a degree in Construction Management. |
