CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - University of Northern Iowa 165-pounder Moza Fay has been named the Western Wrestling Conference's Wrestler of the Week as announced by league officials.

Fay (Anamosa, Iowa) went 4-1 in the 165-pound Elite division bracket at the 2007 Kaufman-Brand Open in Omaha, Neb. Fay placed second in the tournament falling to defending national champion Mark Perry in the final. Fay led 4-3 with 2:40 of riding time before Perry was able to rally and score a fall at the 5:51 mark of the championship match. Fay posted wins over Iowa's Mike Fahrer (12-2), Iowa Central's Terry Overton (18-1), Air Force's Stephen Crozier (13-2) and Minnesota's Scott Glasser (5-2). Fay is now 7-1 on the season and ranked No. 4 in the nation at 165 pounds by W.I.N. Magazine.

The Western Wrestling Conference is comprised of seven schools including the Air Force Academy, North Dakota State, Northern Colorado, Northern Iowa, South Dakota State, Utah Valley State and Wyoming.
