Women's Basketball
Courtney Felke joins the Panthers after a finishing her playing career at Evansville in 2008. Felke earned All-Missouri Valley Conference honorable mention honors as a junior and senior with the Purple Aces. She set Evansville's school record for three-point field goals made in a career and in a game. She was part of the Evansville team that earned the school's first post-season victory and earned a share of the MVC title. The Aces collected more wins during Felke's tenure than any other span in school history. Felke also worked as a U.S. Junior National staff member in 2007, helping to organize and run AAU basketball tournaments in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kansas and Pennsylvania. From 2004-07 she served as a leader with UE's basketball camps. She organized camp for the Evansville Day School and worked as a coach and instructor for the UE Summer Basketball Skills Camp. In 2007 she worked with the Blue Star All-American Camp, which helps to prepare high school athletes for collegiate-level play. Felke's student involvement extended beyond the basketball court. She was a member of the Communication Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and she volunteered with the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and the Just Read program. Felke earned a bachelor's degree in sports studies with a concentration in communication in May 2008. |
