After a year away from basketball, Kelley Westhoff returned to the UNI bench in 2001-02 as an assistant coach. Westhoff previously was a member of DiCecco's staff as a graduate assistant coach in 1997-98 and 1998-99 before her promotion to full-time assistant in the 1999-00 campaign.

She works with all facets of team travel, budget and financial issues, NCAA compliance, UNI's summer employment program and coaches UNI's point guards. She also aids in off-campus recruiting, scouting, fund-raising and public relations events in the community.

Westhoff remains one of the great players in UNI's history. A 1997 graduate of UNI, Westhoff was a four-year letterwinner and co-captained the team her junior and senior seasons. She set five school records in her time, including assists in a game (13), season (180) and career (475). She also owns the standard for assists per game in a season (7.20) and career (4.57).

A two-time all-Academic selection in the Missouri Valley Conference, the Dubuque, Iowa, native earned All-Missouri Valley Conference Honorable Mention honors in 1996-97.

As a prep at Dubuque Wahlert High, Westhoff set school records for assists and steals and was selected to both the Iowa All-Star Team and the Iowa Select Team her senior season. She ranked second in the state in assists her senior year at Wahlert and was named to all-conference and all-Area teams.

Westhoff resides in Cedar Falls.
