The University of Northern Iowa women's basketball team led for the duration of the game to take a 74-60 win over Northern Illinois University.

Senior Emily Berry led UNI with 29 points while junior center Cassie Hager added six blocks and 13 points. Senior forward Alex Cook dominated the boards pulling down 14 rebounds and also led the team with four steals.

In the first half Berry was hot from behind the arc early going two-for-two in the first three minutes of the game. Berry finished the half leading the Panthers with eight points while Hager and Cook both added seven. The Huskies came within two points of the Panthers after NIU's Stephanie Raymond made three free throws with no time left on the clock to bring the score to 32-30 UNI at the half.

Berry lit up in the second half scoring 21 points. Sophomore guard Jessie Biggs chipped in another eight and Hager chalked up three blocks for the Panthers. UNI outscored the Huskies 42-30 in the second half.

Hager finished with 13 points while Biggs turned in 10. Berry led the team in assists with seven. UNI improves to 3-0 while NIU drops to 102 overall.

The Panthers play Sunday at 3:00 in Laramie, Wyoming.
