Jacksonville, Fla. - Round one of the North/South Intercollegiate tournament took place today, and the University of Northern Iowa women's golf team stands tied for fifth place following the first day.

 

 "The whole team started off really well today," said UNI coach John Bermel.

 

UNI currently stands tied for fifth place, just four strokes behind the leader. 

 

Molly Schemm will go into round two just three over par after firing an opening-round 75.  Close behind Schemm was Stef Nelson, who carded a 78 in the first round. 


 

 

 

The Panthers will look to continue their success into Tuesday's second round, as play continues in Jacksonville.
