March 26, 2007
The final round of the Saluki Invitational in Molly Schemm, once again, led the Panther women with a score of 77. She finished tied for 9th overall. Stef Nelson finished second on the team with a score of 80. "It was perfect conditions today, we just couldn't make the best of it," said coach John Bermel. "This is a tough course to get going on because the grass is hard to hit and chip off of. It is a grass that is grown in the Southern states and we are just not used to it." All of the Panther players either improved or maintained their scores from the day before, which shows they worked hard to make up ground. The team shot a 326 today, added to the 334 from yesterday, which gave them an overall team total of 660, only two strokes out of 9th place.
