Moening Tied for First, Panthers in Fourth at North Texas Classic

Denton, Texas--The University of Northern Iowa women's golf team stands in 4th place after the first two rounds of the North Texas Women's Classic, held at Robson Ranch Golf Course. The course is a par 72 and carries 6,308 yards. The University of North Texas is hosting the event. UNI fired a 315 in the first round and got down to 308 in the second to finish the day in fourth with a 620. Tournament host North Texas leads the field with a 301-311--612 in the 10-team event. Individually, Dana Moening (Cold Spring, Minnesota) is tied for first after 36 holes. Moening shot a 76 in the first round and par the second to finish the day four over-par, 148. She is tied with Texas A&M Corpus Christi's Jacklynn Miller. Junior Stef Nelson (Fort Dodge, Iowa) is not far off her fellow teammate, tied for fifth after a 74-76--150 for the day.
