UNI Two Back After Day One of Hawkeye Invitational
IOWA CITY, Iowa - The University of Northern Iowa women's golf team is in third place after two rounds of the 2008 Hawkeye Invitational. The tournament is being held at Finkbine Golf Course, which is measuring 6,202 yards and is playing a par-72. UNI's Kim Weber is only five shots out of the lead after opening up with rounds of 78 and 74. The Panthers' Blair Bonner is tied for 16th after tallying rounds of 75 and 80. UNI's Sabrina Danielson is a shot back of Bonner in a tie for 18th with scores of 74 of 82. As a squad, the Panthers trail the co-leaders Ball State and Iowa by only two shots as they head into the final round. The final 18 holes will be played with split tee times on Sunday at 8 a.m., with the Panthers set to tee off at 9:30 a.m. "It was a total team effort today," head coach John Bermel said.
