Complete Results in PDF Format KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. -The University of Northern Iowa women's golf team capped its fall season in style with a solid eighth-place finish at the Palmetto Intercollegiate played at Oak Point Golf Course in Kiawah Island, S.C. Freshman Blair Bonner (St. Paul, Neb.) was the Panthers' top finisher as she tied for eighth with a three-round total of 228. Bonner posted rounds of 78, 73 and 77 in the tournament. Her second-round 73 was a collegiate career-low as she previously posted a 75 in the first round of the Hawkeye Invitational (Oct. 4). "Blair was playing really well in the tournament," UNI head coach John Bermel said. "That 73 she had in the middle round was a little unfortunate because she only had one hole left to play on Monday when they suspended play. So as a freshman she had to think about that one hole through the night. Unfortunately, she came out and bogeyed that hole to finish that second round, whereas she was playing well and in good shape for an even par round." Sophomore Sabrina Danielson (Pleasant Hill, Iowa) tied for 27th as she tallied scores of 77, 78 and 79 for a three-round total of 234. Ann Arnason (Grand Forks, N.D.), who was tied for third after an opening round 72, shot rounds of 80 and 82 for a three-round score of 234 and a tie for 27th. The Panthers' Kim Weber (Bernard, Iowa) tied for 57th with a three-round total of 243, and Heather Frye (Fort Dodge, Iowa) tied for 75th with a final score of 251. Georgia State won the tournament with a score of 907. East Tennessee State finished second at 914. Princeton's Susannah Aboff and Marlowe Boukis tied for medalist honors with three-round scores of 224. UNI's eighth-place finish put the Panthers on top of Maryland (9th, 941 strokes), Miami (10th, 943 strokes), Wichita State (15th, 988 strokes) and Creighton (17th, 1,016 strokes). "It's a process but we are making strides," Bermel said. "I'm happy with where our team is at because we have gotten better through the fall. We played our best two tournaments at the two biggest tournaments." FINAL TEAM SCORES UNI INDIVIDUAL SCORES
