Cedar Falls, IA-The University of Northern Iowa women's golf head coach John Bermel announced the signing of Shanon Davis to a National Letter-of-Intent.  Davis, is the No. 1 golfer on the West Des Moines Valley girl's squad.

 

Last year, Davis finished in the runner-up position at the Iowa Girls State Golf Tournament with scores of 77 and 74.  She helped lead her team to a class 4A state title.

 

"Shanon is a great player and an even better student," Bermel said.  "We are excited to have her on board for next season."

 

Shanon's parents are Dean Davis and Elizabeth Marchant, of West Des Moines, IA.
