Box Score

Fargo, N.D. -

The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team fell to the North Dakota State Bison this afternoon, losing 5-0.  The Panthers were outshot 20-8 in the windy battle.

The Bison got on the board in the 24th minute of the game with a goal from Michelle Martinez, her third of the season, and the Panthers held NDSU to a 1-0 advantage for the remainder of the half.

NDSU came out scoring in the second period, grabbing a quick goal by Nicole Rand in the second minute of the half.  The Bison also got three goals later in the second period within a span of ten minutes (75:36, 77:19, 82:55).

The Panthers are now 1-3 overall.  They return home for games against Minnesota and Western Illinois next weekend at the Cedar Valley Soccer Complex.  UNI is looking to revenge its close loss (1-0) to the Golden Gophers last season.
