Box Score

An early goal from Amy Seubert and a pair of late goals from Chelsie Hochstedler gave the University of Northern Iowa Women's soccer team a 3-0 victory over IUPUI. Heidi O'Mara and Krista Thorley combined for the shutout in-goal.

The Panthers took the lead in the fourth minute when Seubert lofted a direct kick from 30 yards out over the keepers head. The goal, Seubert's first of the season, gave UNI a 1-0 advantage.

The teams went to intermission with the Panthers ahead 1-0, but UNI surged out of the gates in the second half behind Hochstedler. The freshman put through an effective cross by Laura Wagner for her fourth goal of the season in the 54th minute. With a two-goal lead, Hochstedler scored again, this time on a one-on-one with IUPUI keeper Jamie Farrell. Hochstedler's fifth goal of the season put away the Jags 3-0.

The Panthers took 23 shots to IUPUI's eight with Wagner leading the way with four.

UNI is now 2-2-1 on the season. IUPUI falls to 0-4 overall.

The Panthers travel to Valparaiso to take on the Crusaders Sunday. Game time is at 7 p.m.
