The Panthers responded quickly and knotted the score at 1-1 when Chelsie Hochstedler took a pass from Laura Heaton at the 29:55 minute-mark. Heaton has registered two assists this season for the Panthers.
The Phoenix came out of halftime on a roll and scored two second half goals to earn the 3-1 win. Claire Townsend scored off a Chelsea Lyons pass in the 63rd minute and later Lyons added her second goal of the game to give the Phoenix the lead for good.
Goalkeeper Lauren Potzman registered seven saves in the contest. Hochstedler and Nicole Ferlito led the offensive charge for the Panthers as Hochstedler recorded six shots and Ferlito registered four.
