PANTHERS FALL 3-0 TO DRAKE

Waterloo, Iowa--The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team fell 3-0 to Drake, Sunday. Conference goals-leader Sarah Foote scored two goals for Drake in the Panthers' 3-0 defeat.

Foote scored in the fourth minute to give the Bulldogs an early 1-0 advantage. Drake netted another goal in the 17th minute and held UNI scoreless to earn a 2-0 lead at the half. A 52nd minute goal from Foote gave Drake the 3-0 win.

The Panthers were outshot 14-8 in the loss, with Jackie Gielau (Denver, Iowa/Denver) leading the way with two shots, both on goal. Amy Seubert (Minnetonka, Minn./Minnetonka) and Keni Schroeder (Granger, Iowa/Johnston) both had two total shots and one shot on goal.

UNI falls to 0-13-0 on the season, 0-3-0 in the Missouri Valley Conference. Drake improves to 6-5-2 overall, 2-0-1 in the MVC.

The Panthers travel to Illinois St. Oct. 13 for a conference matchup with the Redbirds. Game time is at 2:30 p.m.
