Four Panthers Land Spot on MVC All-Conference TeamNov. 5, 2009
ST. LOUIS – Four University of Northern Iowa women’s soccer players landed a spot on the Missouri Valley Conference All-Conference team the league announced Wednesday. Chelsie Hochstedler and Megan Cameron were named to the second team while Kala Negus and Ericka O’Meara each earned honorable mention accolades.
Hochstedler finshed the season with five goals, including a multiple-goal game against UMKC. Hochstedler lead the team with 34 shots, including 17 shots on goal.
Negus finished the season with two goals, 17 shots, and eight shots on goal.
O’Meara served as a leader on the Panther defense helping the Panthers to two shutouts in 2009.
Megan Cameron was part of the Panthers defensive effort in 2009, but also scored a goal in the Panthers win over UMKC.
