High School: Three-year softball letter winner. All-conference honorable mention as a sophomore, first team all-conference pick her junior and senior year. Three-time all-area team selection. Second team all-state pitcher as a junior and first team all-state selection her senior year. Two-time Trac 8 Conference Player of the Year. Two-time team captain and MVP, finalist for Athlete of the Year. Sauk Valley Player of the Year her senior year. Holds Illinois High School Athletic Association records for lowest career earned run average (0.07), and most perfect games in a season (7). Other IHSA marks include: 30 strikeouts in one game (10th best all-time); 20 consecutive strikeouts (seventh best); 0.04 season earned run average (second lowest); 14 no-hitters (16th most); three consecutive no-hitters (fifth most) and seven career perfect games (third most). Coached by Tammy Deter. Also participated in volleyball, receiving two second team all-conference selections, and was named to National Honor Society and conference all-academic team. Also was recruited by Iowa, Wisconsin, Bradley, Southern Illinois, Northern Illinois and Indiana State.

Favorite books are "The Notebook" and "Summer Sisters." Favorite historical figure is softball great Lisa Fernandez. Cousin, Elyse Morris, plays basketball at Southern Illinois.
