CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - South Dakota State improved to 3-0 at the Ramada UNI-Dome Classic with a 6-0 win over Dayton Sunday in the UNI-Dome.

South Dakota's pitcher Jenna Marston registered a complete-game shutout in the win, allowing only five hits as she improved to 3-0 as well. South Dakota State scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the second when Jessica Vineyard drove in Ashley Durazo on an RBI single. A triple by Brittany Postma in the bottom of the third led to another run for the Jacks, moving the score to 3-0.

The Jacks plated another run in the fifth when Sam Heinzman sent Brittany Postma home on a sacrifice fly, and then added three more tallies in the sixth inning to provide the final margin of victory.

Sam Heinzman and Brittany Postma both notched a pair of RBIs in the contest.

Dayton finished the weekend 0-4 at the Ramada UNI-Dome Classic. South Dakota returns to action immediately to take on host team UNI.
