CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa softball team volunteered with the Special Olympics on Sat., Oct. 31.

            The Panthers helped with the bowling events hosted by Maple Lanes in Cedar Falls. The athletes participating in the event were competing against one another to earn a qualifying spot in the state tournament.  The softball team assisted in the event by helping the athletes, keeping score and handing out awards.
