Swimming/Diving Notes The Panthers last action came on Nov. 14 against South Dakota State and Northern Colorado. Here are some notes about the meet: In the morning session, the Panthers fell to SDSU 140-100 and Northern Colorado 125-98. Returning to action in the afternoon for another meet, the Panthers came up short 136-104 against SDSU and 144-79 against Northern Colorado. Chelsea Hartman took the top-spot in the 1,650 freestyle. She finished with a time of 17:32.60, almost 40 seconds in front of the second place finisher from South Dakota State. Hartman took first in the 500 freestyle, finishing with a time of 5:08.52. She also took second in the 200 freestyle (1:56.28) and joined teammates Maggie Rickert, Stephanie Frederick and Josie Itzen for a 3:42.33 runner-up finish in the 400 freestyle relay. Hartman also joined forces with Stephanie Yattoni, April Mangrich and Josie Itzen to capture the first place spot in the 800 freestyle relay. They finished with a time of 8:03.31. Josie Itzen took third, from a field of twelve, in the 200 freestyle. She clocked in with a time of 1:59.31. Itzen finished second in the 400 IM, coming in with a time of 4:45.36 and fourth in the 100 freestyle, clocking in at 55.41 Abby Girard took second in the 200 backstroke, clocking in at 2:09.56. Girard also captured third in the 200 IM (2:16.33) and third in the 400 IM (4:49.66). Maggie Rickert took first in the 100 freestyle. She finished with a time of 54.45 in a field of eleven girls. Stephanie Frederick placed third in the 50 freestyle. She clocked in with a time of 25.53. Teammate Rickert finished in third in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:01.41. Bethany Olson took the runner-up spot in the 1-meter finishing with 219.10 points. Olson also finished fourth in the 3-meter dive with 240.50 points.
