In singles play, Kanade won over EIU's Madina Mambetova in the No. 3 position 6-4, 6-2. In the No. 4 position Moraes won over Harmazy 6-4, 7-5. Meredith Esbeck ( "Today was a really hard fought match," UNI head coach Sachin Kirtane said. "It was really great for Meghana and Agnese to get that win over the #56 ranked doubles team.
