Final Stats

Kansas City, Mo. - The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team swept its seventh opponent of the season Thursday, topping the University of Missouri-Kansas City 7-0.

            This is the first time this season the Panthers have swept an opponent on the road.

            The Panthers easily won all three doubles matches, giving up only one game to the Kangaroos. The Panthers dominated in singles play, winning all five matches to claim the 7-0 win.

            "It was great to get an easy win today," UNI head coach Sachin Kirtane said. "We now need to prepare ourselves for Nebraska. They are a very good team and we'll have to really play hard tomorrow."

            UNI (11-2) takes on No. 75 Nebraska tomorrow at 9 a.m. in Lincoln, Neb.
