Final Stats

Waterloo, Iowa - The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team bounced back after yesterday's loss with a 6-1 victory over Bradley. The victory pushes UNI's record to 10-6 overall and 2-1 in conference play. The Braves fall to 4-9 on the season and 0-3 in league play. UNI head coach Sachin Kiratne is now 6-0 all-time against the Braves.

"It was good to get a win today after losing yesterday and to get another victory in conference play," Kirtane said. "The girls played well today, and we need to be ready for a tough Indiana State team tomorrow."

UNI senior Meghana Paritala won her 83rd career match as a Panther, cruising past Kelly Donohue in No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-1, to snap her five-match losing streak. Paritala is now in a three-way tie for second place on the Panthers' all-time wins list. She needs two more victories to become the Panthers all-time wins leader. Nancy Land is the all-time leader with 84 career victories and has held the top spot for 13 years.

Fellow senior Carolina Hannes notched her 82nd career victory over Kim Braun, 6-0, 6-1 in No. 6 singles. Hannes is currently fifth on the all-time wins list.

In doubles play, the Panthers won all three matches led by Paritala and junior Taynara Moraes in No. 1 doubles. The duo beat Jess Buterbaugh and Kelly Donohue, 8-4. Sophomore Sampada Kanade and freshman Diana Mendez held off Nicole Miller and Emily Regenold, 9-7 in No. 2 doubles, and Hannes and freshman Laia Gonzalez-Garrido completed the Panther doubles sweep with an 8-5 win over Krubeck and Braun.

The Panthers will complete its home schedule tomorrow at 11 a.m. against Indiana State. Kirtane is 0-5 all-time against the Sycamores.
