University of Northern Iowa head women's tennis coach Sachin Kirtane announced the signing of Phoebe Walker (Kensington, Australia/Marryatville HS) to play for the Panthers in the fall.

"I am excited about signing a player of Phoebe's caliber," Kirtane said. "She has been consistently ranked among the top junior players in Australia, and she is the type of player that will keep us at the top of the Missouri Valley Conference."

Walker is currently ranked among the top five players in South Australia and within the top 90 Australian female players. She has been a member of the South Australian State Tennis Program in numerous talent squads and the South Australian Optus Tennis Academy, where at one stage she was the only female member selected.
