On the last day of the final tournament of the Panthers’ fall season, UNI earned some respectable finishes.  Sophomore Jessica Kunzelmann and the duo of Sampada Kanade and Jessica Kunzelmann both earned second place finishes in their respective flights of the MVC Individual Championships.

Jessica Kunzelmann ended the tournament as the second-place finisher in the No. 4 singles flight.  She was defeated by Franzi Stienhardt of Illinois State 6-4, 6-2 in the championship match.

The Panthers earned another second place finish in the doubles division as Jessica Kunzelmann and Sampada Kanade fell to Lech/Maack of Illinois State 8-3. The duo competed in the No. 2 doubles flight.

The MVC Individual Championships marked the last tournament of the 2009 fall season for the Panthers.

The Panthers resume play January 23^rd as they take on Kansas State.
