2004: Outdoor -Started out her 2004 season with a 25th place finish at the Stanford Relays with a 41-1/4 shot put mark... Recorded her best hammer throw at the John McDonnell Relays, placing ninth with 152-2...Captured fifth in the shot put at the UNI Twilight with her 43-1 3/4 toss and second in the hammer throw (151-5 1/2)... Finished ninth at the Simpson Twilight with a 40-3/4 shot put throw... Earned ninth place in the shot put (41-8 1/2) and sixth in the hammer throw (141-2 1/2) at the MUSCO Invitational... Finished out her 2004 season when she placed 13th and 14th, respectively, in the hammer (148-5 1/2) and shot put (39-3) at the Missouri Valley Conference championships. Indoor - Opened her indoor season by placing third in the weight throw with a 49-2 1/4 toss and ninth in the shot put (51- 3/4)... Recorded her best indoor mark in the shot put, 45-5 3/4, at the Iowa State Classic, placing 15th... Earned two fifth-place finishes in both the weight throw (51-3) and shot put (42-2 1/2) at the Wisconsin Relays... Just missed earning all-conference honors when she placed fourth at the MVC championships in the weight throw (54-9 1/2)... Captured first place at the UNI-Dome Open with her 56-0 mark in the weight throw, putting her second in the UNI record books. 2003: Outdoor - Took fourth place at the MVC Championships in the shot put with her season-best throw of 45-5 1/4... Threw the discus for a distance of 114-11 1/2, her best of the season, at the John McDonnell Invitational to earn her an 11th-place finish... Earned second place at the UNI Twilight in the shot put... Awarded 12th place for her hammer throw of 143-10 at the Musco Invitational. Indoor - Redshirted. High School: Three-time national champion... Placed 16th in the World Championships for Juniors in 2002 in Jamaica... Earned second place at the European Cup in 2002 and sixth in 2003... Took second place at the Junior Olympic Games of Europe. Personal: Daughter of Franjo and Stefanija Barsic... Majoring in applied economics and German... Born 3/1/83...
