Women's Track
2004: Outdoor - Opened her 2004 season at the Central Invitational where she finished runner-up with her javelin toss of 116-11... Won the javelin at the Minnesota Last Chance meet with her 127-4 throw... Recorded her personal best throw of 138-1 1/2 at the MUSCO Invitational, placing first and ranking her third in the UNI record books... Captured second place at the UNI Twilight with her 129-10 1/2 distance... Barely missed all-conference honors with her fourth-place finish at the MVC meet, throwing 123-3 1/2. 2003: Outdoor - Finished third at the John McDonnell Invitational with her throw of 123-00, a team and personal-best of the season... Took first place at the UNI Twilight... Placed sixth at the MVC championships... Took third place at the Simpson Twilight with her 119-3 distance. High School: Two-year participant in the Junior Olympic Track Nationals... Went to the Iowa state track meet all four years of high school... Four-year letterwinner in track... Three-year letterwinner in basketball and volleyball... Member of the all-state volleyball, basketball, track and softball teams... Participated in student council, speech, chorus and band... Member of National Honor Society. Personal: Daughter of Ray and Mary Dietz... Majoring in Physical Education with an emphasis on exercise science and sports psychology... Also a member of the UNI volleyball team... Has a sister, Denise, and brother, Matt, who both participated in college athletics... Born 7/22/83... Chose UNI because it had everything she was looking for academically and she couldn't pass up the great opportunity to play volleyball and participate in track. |
