2004: Outdoor - Captured third place at the UNI Twilight with her 10:33.56 time in the 3,000 meters... Finished the 1,500 meters in 4:47.83 at the Simpson Twilight, placing fourth... Earned fourth place at the MUSCO Invitational 5,000 meter race, clocking in at 17:53.23, a personal best... Won the 1,500 meter race at the Central Invitational with her 4:52.31 time... Came in sixth place in the 10K at the Missouri Valley Conference meet with her best time of 38:43.57... Earned 15th place at the John McDonnell Invitational, finishing in 10:45.65.

Indoor - Crossed the finish line in 5:28.90 at the Panther Open where she finished the mile in fifth place... Finished seventh in the 3000 at the Panther Classic, clocking in at 10:35.29... Recorded her personal best in the 3000 (10:21.72) at the Missouri Valley Conference meet, where she finished 11th... Placed third at the UNI-Dome Open where she finished in 10:27.26.

High School: Four-time state AAU champion and two-time national AAU place winner in cross country ...Lettered four times in cross country and track ...Senior year, she participated in the All-Star track meet ... Was a member of the National Honor Society, was in the top five percent of her graduating class and was academic all-conference every season ... Also participated in Student Council, Key Club and Spanish Club.

Personal: Major is undecided ...Daughter of Russ and Vicki Vermie ...Born 9/26/84 ...Chose UNI because of the coaches, the team and because it felt right.
