Results

Carbondale, Ill. - Ivana Barsic (Zabresic, Croatia/16th) broke her school record for the fourth time this season, throwing 58-4 in the weight throw. Barsic finished fourth in the event, with Morgan Edwards (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Jefferson) following in fifth with a 58-3 ¼ distance.

Mary Egbo-Egbo (Whitby, Ontario/Sinclair Secondary School) earned all-conference honors when she placed third in the triple jump with her 40-3 ½ distance.

Meredith Kosmacek (Persia, Iowa/Tri-Center) will advance to the finals of the 60-meter dash after her 7.72 performance in the preliminary heat and 7.68 time in the semi-finals.

Freshman Lauren Carruthers (Bettendorf, Iowa/Pleasant Valley) finished the 400 meters in sixth place in 57.00, followed by Lynnette Wilson (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy) in seventh in 57.06.

Angie German (Manchester, Iowa/West Delaware) advanced to the finals of the 800 meters when she timed in at 2:14.80, finishing fourth.

Events are scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow. Results will be available after the meet at www.unipanthers.com
