Panther Track and Field Conclude Day One at Drake RelaysApril 29, 2005 Des Moines, Iowa - The Panther women concluded day one at the Drake Relays today, April 29, in Des Moines. For the women, the 4x400 meter relay team of Liz Bradfield, Lynnette Wilson, Jamie Hutchinson and Lauren Carruthers finished in 11th place with their 3:44.73 time. In the field events, Kayleen Popp tied her season-best when she cleared 11-11 ¾ in the pole vault competition, placing 13th . Morgen Edwards finished 10th in the discus, throwing 155-6 and finished 13th in the shot put with a 46-0 distance. Kara Yahn failed to make the finals of the 100-meter hurdles after placing 23rd in 14.69. Yahn also participated in the 400-meter hurdles where she finished in 15th place with a 61.69 time. The Panthers will be back in action tomorrow morning to conclude competition at the Drake Relays. Results are available after each event at http://www.drakerelays.org/ and will be posted at www.unipanthers.com concluding the meet.
