The National Collegiate Division I Track Coaches Association honored the men's and women's track teams as 2004 All-Academic Team selections this past week. The men's team ranked seventh on the list, with their cumulative GPA of 3.07, while the women were 29th on the list with their 3.17 average GPA.

"I think this just demonstrates the commitment our athletes have to academics, as well as athletics," said Associate Head Coach Doug Case. "They excel in both areas and the fact that they have earned over a 3.0 says a lot for both the students themselves and the great support staff we have here at UNI. Our athletes are a great group of individuals and I think this award is just a tribute to their hard work."

The 2005 men's and women's track seasons will open on January 15 in the UNI-Dome at the Panther Open.
