Terre Haute, Ind. - Junior outside hitter Rachael Tink (Waterloo, Iowa) led all players with 13 kills to lead the University of Northern Iowa volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Indiana State tonight. Game scores were 30-26, 30-18 and 30-21.

The win was UNI's fourth straight overall, with each by a 3-0 score. The Panthers improved to 7-4 on the season, 2-0 in MVC play, while ISU fell to 5-5, 1-2.

Tink hit .310 (13-4-29) on the evening, and added four service aces, three digs and three block assists. UNI hit a season-best .391 as a team (47-11-92), including .542 in the second game (15-2-24). Senior Shari Vermeer (Sioux Center, Iowa) had nine kills with no hitting errors, and Trista Humpal (New Hampton, Iowa) had seven kills in eight total attacks on the evening. Danielle Brazda (Omaha, Neb.) and Laura Rowen (Hansell, Iowa) added nine and eight kills, respectively.

The Panthers recorded 11 service aces on the night, the fourth time this season the team has reached double-digits in that category. UNI held Indiana State to just .156 hitting (39-22-109) and out-blocked the Sycamores, nine to three.

UNI travels to Normal, Ill., Saturday night (Sept. 25) for a 7:00 p.m. match with Illinois State.
