TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The University of Northern Iowa women's volleyball team ran its record to 23-7 and 14-2 in the Missouri Valley Conference with a 3-0 sweep of Indiana State on Friday night.

The Panthers cruised to their sixth straight win with game scores of 30-10, 30-18 and 30-20. UNI has won 18 straight games during its six-match win streak.

UNI was led by Laura Rowen's 18 kills and seven blocks. Rowen is now within 16 kills of the 1,000-kill mark in her Panther career. Kristin Belzung added 41 assists, while Stephanie May and Patricia Dietz contributed with 10 digs each on the defensive side of the net.

The Panthers jumped all over the Sycamores early by hitting .500 in game one with 18 kills and only three errors. While the Panthers were on fire, the Sycamores were struggling with a -.132 hitting percentage with 11 errors and only six kills in game one.

The Panthers will take the court again Sunday at Illinois State with first serve set for 2 p.m.
