MEN'S BASKETBALL POST SEASON TICKET DISTRIBUTION POLICY
The following specific policy, which is consistent with the UNI-Dome Box Office ticket distribution procedures for national and conference tournament events, will be implemented when distributing Post-Season (NCAA, NIT) Men's Basketball Tournament tickets:
Once it is apparent we are going to be selected for the tournament, a form of request will be sent to all men's basketball season ticket holders. This form will list the possible first/second round and regional sites we could be playing at, along with stating the maximum number of tickets that may be requested and the deadlines. Customers will be asked to select the sites they wish to attend, provide contact information and a form of credit card payment. The form will clearly state that filling out and returning the form does not guarantee tickets. The procedure for final notification fulfillment ability will also be included.
Once the game sites and ticket allocations are determined (350 guaranteed), the following tiers of distribution will be used:
Tier 1: Student-athlete and manager ticket requests, coaching staff requests, university VIP requests and athletic department staff requests
Tier 2: Season ticket holder's requests, based on Priority Seating Plan
Tier 3: General public requests
Please note we will use the following policy for student ticket distribution, based on the recommendation of the Student Services Fee Committee: An allocation of tickets that is proportional to the percentage of student fee support of the entire Intercollegiate Athletics budget (currently 11.9%) will be made available to UNI Students in the Tier 1 category of distribution.
Student-athletes, coaches, managers and trainers will be allowed four tickets each on the pass list. The customers identified in Tier 1 will be allowed to make additional paid ticket requests for those people who are not on the pass list or official travel party. In the event that there is a shortage of tickets, the Ticket Manager will tier the requests and consult with the Director of Athletics, or his/her designee, and Foundation/Development staff, possibly at short notice, to go over final distribution before any notifications are made to the requestors.
